One of the best things during holidays is discovering new restaurants and local food. Here are some of my favorite places in La Rochelle.
1. Perot-Quai
Perot-Quai is a small restaurant with a very nice owner, taking good care of people arriving 15 minutes in advance. You should book a table in all of the restaurants I will speak about, otherwise, it won’t be possible to have a last-minute table. Perot-Quai has 8 tables inside and 4 or 5 tables outside and the demand is huge, so be sure to book a table in advance. Here you will have a huge plate which is simply delicious. Inside you will have meat or sea fruits (depends on what you will choose), some rice, vegetables or pasta as an accompaniment and to finish some cheese and salad. For the meat, you can choose once again chicken, pork, beef or sea fruits, or even vegetable for vegetarians.
Desert list is quite huge, with a banana split, ice cream, chocolate fondant, etc. The choice was difficult for me. Sorry for not showing pictures, but it was so good that I eat it and have forgotten to take some.
2. André
André is the paradise for the seafood. Wasn’t exactly my case, my boyfriend was the own, enjoying the food more than me. I chose a salad with 2 types of fish. Speaking of seafood Platter are very rich and with fresh and good quality products. Be sure to book a table. My advice, go there 40 minutes before being hungry because waiting could be quite long.
3. O Parloir
The last restaurant I wanted to share with you is in Ile de Ré but I really wanted to share it with you. If you go visiting La Rochelle, you should definitely go to Ile de Ré. O Parloir is a unique place, designed and arranged by the owner. I was feeling like Alice in wonderland. Plates are so delicious that I finish everything that I have ordered. And it is a rare situation for me. I will leave you enjoying the pictures I took in this unique restaurant.
Finndig this post. It’s just a big piece of luck for me.
