When going to Zurich for a weekend or for 2 days on a business trip, it is always useful to have some ideas where to eat. This will help you not to lose too many time, once there, searching for a nice place.
Last weekend I was there for a business trip, so I would like to share with you some addresses that I loved. They are so different, so I think everyone will find at least one place that would meet your expectations.
Swiss Chuchi: The most typical one
This place has a real Swiss ambiance. The restaurant is a part of a hotel, in the central part of the old town of Zurich. In this restaurant-chalet, you can try different Swiss specialties, of course, fondu, but also the pumpkin soup, the one I tried and found delicious. Mandatory part: the Swiss dessert, made of chestnuts cream, chantilly cream, and meringue, or the apple strudel.
Lipp: the most Parisian one
If you miss the Parisian ambiance and food, Lipp brasserie is also in the old town of Zurich. In this Parisian chic ambiance, you are sure to find the perfect service and a menu with very French specialties, like a duck, mussels, and fries, salads. Of course, when the weather is sunny, you can also enjoy your lunch on the terrace of the restaurant. This place is also perfect for a business lunch or dinner.
Franzos: for a drink with a dinner
This cozy place has several tables where you can just enjoy a drink with a friend or have a quick lunch or dinner. Here, again, you can find some very French dishes, like warm goat cheese salad, fondant au chocolat with ice cream or crème brûlée. Situated in the old town, this place is 5 minutes-walk from the train station and near to the most of the hotels in the old town of Zurich.
I hope you will find these places nice just I did, and if you have some other suggestions please share 🙂
Love, Nadia
