We all agree, 3 days are not enough to see the entire city and visit all touristic places. But just in case you have a long weekend or you are looking for 3-days escape, here is a list of the things you should do, or at least you can pick up some ideas.
1st day: Sagrada Familia, Park Güell, beach
Sagrada Familia: you can start discovering the city with the most famous church in Spain. Works are still proceeding but it is true that the building has very particular and unique style. If you are curious, you can enter the building and visit but once again, make sure you have bought your tickets in advance. Just to avoid unnecessary waiting and lose precious time. After the visit, you can go to the precious Park Güell, which is in the same area, just several metro stations distance.
Park Güell: this park has 2 main parts: the one where you can walk and enjoy the nature around you and the one with the colorful architecture. Here, the entrance is around 7 euros and as previously mentioned, to avoid queuing, buy your tickets online. The whole visit lasts for an average of 3 hours.
2nd day: La Rambla, shopping, Boqueria Market & dining
La Rambla: the famous 1.2 km romantic street in Barcelona, full of restaurants and bars where you can sipping your drink under the sun. Just at the beginning of the street you have shops like Zara, Mango, El Corte Ingles. Zara stores, for example, are so big and prices are not so higher than in France or other countries. Actually, they have special prices for Spain and Portugal markets, with a difference of 5 euros for apparels and 50 euros for leather goods and between 15 and 25 euros for shoes.
Boqueria Market is the place to eat. For lunch or dinner, there are plenty of local restaurants with delicious food, prepared in front of you, healthy fruits juices or just cups of fruits.
You can finish the day in one very nice place we have discovered with typical decoration, and very healthy food, in the street of Bonsuccés, called Julivert Meu. Of course, there are plenty of nice restaurants, but this one is really offering delicious plates. For the next time we go there, we will try another one.
3rd day: beach, Maremagnum
Beach: it is a mandatory part of your stay if you’re going between May and October of course. You can spend a whole day or just find 1h per day for beach activities: beach volley, walking on the seaside or sunbathing. If you are addicted to shopping, you can also visit the Maremagnum mall which is on the other side of the moving bridge. If you are lucky enough to pass through on the right moment, you can see the bridge moving to leave the boat passing.
Nightlife: if you are looking for a nice place to go out during the night, I highly recommend the very special ambiance place, Carpe Diem. You can start the night outside, on a comfortable sofa enjoying your sangria and the magical view on the sea and then continue the party inside the club.
